AT-HOME WELLNESS

Here at Purity Organic, we believe your body deserves better... and that doesn’t just mean what you eat and drink. While diet is certainly part of it, wellness also extends to physical health, fitness routines, and mental health, as well. In a time when just about everything has to be done from home, we’ve got you covered with some easy wellness tips.

DIY FACE MASK

Face masks are a super regenerative activity, and there are plenty of ways to achieve that spa feeling, without having to wait for a face mask to be shipped to you. Many face masks can be made with ingredients you probably already have on hand.

  • AVOCADO FACE MASK: A mixture of avocado, honey, and oats sounds like three components of an Instagram blogger’s Sunday morning, but if you can resist the urge to taste test, mixing these ingredients can actually create a nourishing, moisturizing face mask.
  • FRUITY FACE MASK: Do you have a banana, orange juice and honey in your house? Then you’ve also got the right ingredients for this face mask, too! Apply this mixture and let it sit for about 15 minutes to achieve a refreshing glow.
  • HYDRATION MASK: For a creamier, hydrating mask, mix buttermilk and yogurt together and apply it for a few hours. (Just turn on Netflix and wait it out ;)

CREATING ROUTINE

It’s easy to feel a bit overwhelmed by the uncertainty and monotony of this time, but many experts say that creating some form of a routine can help make things feel a bit more stable. Whether it makes you feel better to wake up at the same time, set up a workspace in a designated part of your home, or if you just need an excuse to put on that business casual 'fit for your Zoom call, little things add up to an noticeably comforting sense of normalcy.

SHAKE IT OFF

Physical health is, again, more than just what you eat and drink -- it’s also more than working out. (You can find our breakdown of some easy at-home workouts here!) Moving, stretching, and breathing practices can all help keep your body and brain happy.

Simple breathing and meditation exercises reduce stress, help to control anxiety, and can help wake the brain up. There’s never been a better time to try out some intentional breathing or meditation apps to find what works best for you.

The same goes for simple stretching -- especially if you’re working all day from a space that maybe wasn’t necessarily designed to be a home office. Stretching before or after a long work day helps loosen up the body and shake off some of the compounding stressors of the day. Some of these small changes in conjunction can help you feel more relaxed overall, which is a major accomplishment during a less-than-relaxing time.

As always, your favorite Purity beverages can help complete the wellness list. Whether you’re the kind of person who prefers a nice sweet tea as an afternoon treat or someone that loves rehydrating with an organic coconut water after a workout, we're here to help. Stay healthy, and stay well.
